The Playboy…
In a society where the divide between the haves and the have nots is distinctly drawn, Foster Graham enjoys the privileges of the ruling class to the fullest. With looks, wealth and a place in society that gives him access to anything he wants, the world is his playground. But behind his easy smile and suave demeanor lurks a demon he’s managed to suppress. When a friend goes missing, he finds himself immersed in a world that forces him to unleash the darkness within.
The Captive…
Far removed from the glitzy lifestyle of the upper class, Tori Preston must fight daily for her survival. In order to support her family she is forced to participate in a barbaric ritual called The Run, for a second time. But she soon learns there are far worse things that could happen when she finds herself captured and sold off into a life of pure hell.
The Auction…
An underground organization formed by a group of depraved sadists once thought to be a ghost tale used to scare little children into behaving, no one believes in its actual existence. Tori, however, learns the hard way that this ‘bogey man’ is very much real.
Without hope, Tori fears she’ll never see her loved ones again, until she comes face to face with the only man who ever managed to touch her heart. Seeing the woman who has haunted his dreams since their parting, Foster is determined to save Tori and never let her go again. But they just might find that someone has other plans for them.

I was looking forward to reading Foster's story. He seemed like a very nice guy in the first of this series, Run. However, in this book, he reveals a very dark side, one that he has kept hidden. This dark side allows him to do some particularly despicable things to get the bad guys to talk. Not pleasant to read. The rest of the book was similar to Run in that it was about a strong woman from the lower class dominated by a hot guy from the upper class and all the problems they have.Story: 4

The Auction edition by Eve Vaughn Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
I want my money back. They were mostly separated the entire book. The h didn't deserve a happy ending. This here is why I try not to read books with a independent woman because the arthur just have them coming off as stupid. The main character sister is misiing and she herself has just been found, and all she can think of is her bruised feelings, the senconday character Aya from the book that's titled run is too stupid to live. She wants independence in a world where that's impossilbe. The criminals are stealing women off the street and she wants to walk everywhere by herself and live by herself, and her rich boyfriend dare has to fight her the whole way for her saftey. Like I said too stupid to live, I kinda was hoping she would get kidnapped. Now don't get me wrong I'm all for a strong female lead, but a strong female lead should know when to say Ok big daddy you right lets go, not just nag about your independence in a world where woman are sold off and the one good guy you get you fight all the way, I just don't understand.
If you want a strong character read Tiana Laveen, she has strong independent women that will chase their men and follow them to the depths of hell and back their love.
I really enjoyed this book. I tought it was a great sequel to The Run. I would have given this book 4 stars but there were just to many grammatical errors throughout the whole book. I felt that I was reading a rough draft that was not edited. Eve's books are fantastic reads that deserve to be edited properly so the words flow the way they should.
I have read several of Eve Vaughn's books and look forward to reading more in the future. Her stories are page turners from start to finish.
Auction actually is a 4.5 star for me. This was more of a story than a romance. As one reviewer said, the couple of Foster and Tori did not seem to spend very much time together being a couple so you had to rely on backstory of them to keep that romantic dream alive. With that being said the story...oh the story. Eve Vaughn thought the story out well and it shows in the flow of the story and the detail that was being given. I found myself hissing with pain when reading some of the more violent portions of the story. This was a dark read but more about the auction than the person being auctioned. You get to see more of the corruption of the government in the post apocalyptic type world but not so much the growth of a deep love between the H/h. Pros Great detail, good development of the hero, fluent flow of story. Cons lack of romantic development. Although Tori was pretty well explained, I did not understand her character as much as I understood Foster. Ms. Vaughn gave Tori's background but I guess in the end I didn't KNOW her but I felt that I KNEW Foster. All in all the only thing that really made this a 4.5 instead of a 5 was fact that Foster and Tori were never really redeemed as a couple. You knew how Foster felt, you knew how Tori felt but you never got a chance to see their words of love put into action. I wasn't disappointed because the end of Run did not make think I would really see a love story in the Auction but the addition of a true love story would have been wonderful.
I can't put these books down until I have them completed! Dare, Foster, their ladies and the society they live in are so different from our lives but also deal with things happening today! Absolutely love the heroes! Really looking forward to the next book in the series! You are one of my " must read" authors! Thank you so much for writing such interesting books!
I really liked how this story advanced what we learned in The Run. It was really nice learning more about Foster Graham. I love that his character has many dimensions. It was lovely seeing him find happiness. I loved Victoria's honest, forthright spirit. She is his perfect compliment. I'm looking forward to reading Master to see what "pots get stirred" with Dare and Aya.
Ms. Vaughn created a world that was utterly fascinating in it's dark depravity. I was rooting for Tori and Foster from the beginning although I had my doubts of Foster. Though the progression of the story Foster showed his humanity with search for Macy and how he cared about Aya. Even his friendship with Dare showed him being human. Finally it was his love for Tori and how he fought for her that earned my respect!! I was hooked from the first word to the very last sentence!!
I received this a ARC for my honest review. This is a great follow up to the Run. I had to reread the Run to remember the story. THis is a page turner I could not put this book down. Eve paints a dark futuristic view of Earth in the future. It was nice to see different sides to Foster and Dare. Foster is in search of a friend that he vowed to protect and in searching for her he finds his lost love Tori. I am so happy that there is a third book coming that will tell Dare and Anya's story. The Auction I feel is Foster's story that needed to be told. This is a great read.
I was looking forward to reading Foster's story. He seemed like a very nice guy in the first of this series, Run. However, in this book, he reveals a very dark side, one that he has kept hidden. This dark side allows him to do some particularly despicable things to get the bad guys to talk. Not pleasant to read.
